Standard documentation by profile
Although every tax situation is unique, these are the documents we typically need:
- Employed individuals: company tax withholding certificate (certificado de retenciones), certificates of other income, and proofs of applicable deductions (primary residence, donations, pension plans).
- Property owners: title deed or cadastral reference, municipal property tax (IBI) receipt, lease agreements, and records of property-related expenses.
- Freelancers and businesses: income and expense ledgers, issued and received invoices, previously filed quarterly tax returns, and records of withholdings suffered.
- Non-residents: identification document, NIE, property title or contracts, and tax residency certificate from your home country when applicable.
Tax data from the Spanish Tax Agency
For tax residents, the Tax Agency provides annual tax data (datos fiscales), which already includes a large portion of reported financial data. With your authorization, we can download and cross-reference it with your personal documents, minimizing workload and avoiding errors.
Why we only ask for what is necessary
Requesting documents indiscriminately causes delays and confusion. We prefer to analyze your situation first and then request strictly what is necessary, explaining where to obtain each document if not immediately at hand.
How to send documentation to us
We accept digital documents (PDF or clear scans). There is no need to visit the office in person: you can send them via email or secure cloud channels, and we organize everything systematically.
