How to get your FNMT digital certificate in Spain
The FNMT digital certificate is the electronic file that identifies you online before the Spanish administration: filing taxes, reading notifications from the tax office, requesting certificates or signing documents without going to a counter. It is issued in three steps — request on the FNMT website, identity verification in person and download — and for individuals it is valid for four years, so it should be renewed before it lapses.
